They are in the UK.
Reports from the UK this morning say that the motorways in England to the port of Dover have seen traffic jams resulting in some motorists spending 15 hours gridlocked.
The cause of the delays, the reports say, is check-in times to the ferries from Dover to France.
Increased security checks at understaffed French border posts, lack of foresight by British authorities and the sheer numbers on the road are being blamed for delays.
The result is that some have been forced to sleep in their cars or trucks over Saturday night.
Kent police used helicopters and motorcyclists on Saturday to provide 11,000 bottles of water to stranded motorists as temperatures hit 20C.
Meanwhile, families and lorry drivers abandoned their vehicles to play football and walk along the roadside.
